Yale "Papa" Edward Hennessee, age 70, passed away peacefully at his home, Wednesday morning March 13, 2019. He was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania and graduated from Roxberry High School in
Succasunna, NJ. Yale immediately enlisted in
the Navy where he served as a member of the rescue helicopter team aboard an aircraft carrier. After he was honorably discharged, he continued to work with large machinery, as an electrician and in management at Con-Agra, Cerro Copper and finished his career at International Paper.
Yale will be remembered by friends and family as a hard worker with a great attitude and a big laugh. He loved his motorcycle, NASCAR, the Dallas Cowboys, LSU and the New Orleans Saints. Most of all he loved to make you smile.
Papa was dedicated to Judith, his wife of 30-years and their five children, Barbara Webb (d. 2007), Deborah Peters (Kerry), Katheryn Gazelka, Del Vicker (Shanna), Angelique Hammond (Rex Jr), 15 grandchildren, raising Courtney Boston Morrow as his own. He was a proud great-grandfather to 8 lucky children. He also enjoyed a great relationship with his sister Jackie Fischer (Frank). Papa loved all his children and grandchildren generously. He also loved animals, opening his home to any pet in need of rescue.
A memorial service will take place Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at
St Thomas

Catholic Church
810 Carey Ave, Ruston, LA 71270 at 10:00 AM, followed by a
lunch at the church. An Irish wake to celebrate Yale's life and good humor is planned for Tuesday Evening at his home 1706 Haskell Dr., Ruston, La. 71270 from 7:30 to 10:30 PM.
