Willie Lee Loflin, of Ruston, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022, in the care of Alpine Guest Care Center, at the age of 86.
Lee was born in Meadville, MS in 1935 and later moved to Natchez, MS where she started doing what she loved most, serving people. Lee and Bennie Loflin met and married in Natchez, MS in 1953. They traveled from Canada to Mexico together, spending a few years in West Monroe raising two children, and she never met a stranger along the way. They finally settled in Palestine, TX for 20 years, where she truly shown her servants heart through her volunteer work, serving the homeless at the stock pot, visiting the elderly and organization of the WMU ministries. Her other true loves were taking care of her family, cooking, reading her bible and surrounding herself in flowers while working in her yard. Friends and strangers always complemented her beautiful gardens and flowers she was able to grow.
Lee and her husband spent the last 15 years in Ruston, where they were members of Temple Baptist Church, and continued to work in her flowers and care for others in their complex. In her final years Lee could be found running the halls of Alpine and wreaking havoc everywhere she went. She will definitely not be forgotten by the staff or friends she made along the way.
She is preceded in death by her parents Claudis and Willie White, brothers L.W. Twiner, Floyd, Marvin, Jimmy and Billy White, sisters Maurice Buchanan and Doris Walters.
Left to cherish her loving memory is her husband of 69 years Bennie Loflin; daughter Linda Davis and son in law Robert Davis, son Eddie Loflin and wife Sharon; grandchildren Brian Davis and wife Stacy, Krystal Boyd and husband Jason and her beloved great grandson Ryder.
Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Sims, Wesley Sims, Chad Kelley, Kaleb May, Kelly May and Jerry May.
Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until service time Saturday at Owens Memorial Chapel.
