Funeral services for William "Hippy" Wayne Morris will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 13, 2021 at Owens Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Walnut Creek Cemetery in Simsboro, LA under direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

William was born January 18, 1953 in Arcadia, LA to William Harold Morris and Dorothy Lee Hughes Morris and passed away Monday, August 9, 2021 at the age of 68, at his son's home in Simsboro, LA.  He had eight sisters and two brothers.  William had six children and eleven grandchildren.  "Hippy" started logging in the late 1960's and drove a rock wagon in the mid 1980's.

He was a mountain of a man with a heart as big as him.  "Hippy" was a very simple man so it's best to simply say "We love you, Pop".

William is survived by his children:  Honda, Bubba, Jeremy, Adam, and Ashley Morris and Micheal McDaniel; grandchildren: Cheyenne, Zackery, Kelsie, Penelope, Presley, Michael, Christian, Michael, Callie, Maximus and Cooper.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bubba, Jeremy, Adam, Michael, Sonny Bass, and Christian.  Honorary pallbearers are Maximus Lee, Cooper Lee, Micheal McDaniel and Presley Morris.
