Memorial services for Mr. Wayne Knox will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Jackson Parish, near Clay, LA. Officiating the service will be Rev. Zane Graves.
Wayne Reuben Knox was born July 14, 1944 in Jonesboro, LA to Reuben and Sarah Knox and entered into rest on April 26, 2022 in Arcadia, LA. He was a log trucker most of his life and sold fish on the side, which he loved to do. Wayne enjoyed fishing and hunting and especially loved to fish with his granddaughter, Savanna Dianne Knox Pearson and fishing and camping with his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Knox. Wayne also loved working on trucks and small engines. He was also a big dog lover as well. Wayne was a very strong, loyal, and independent person who would help anyone. He is preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Sarah Knox and sisters: Ruby Roshto and Sarah Lofton and brother in law, George Pilgreen.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving daughter, Mary Elizabeth Knox; two granddaughters: Savanna Dianne and husband Daniel Pearson and Desirae Bell; great-grandson, Charles Pearson; great-granddaughter, Payton Pearson; sister, Faye Knox Pilgreen Graves and her husband Rev. Zane Graves, nephew George Richard Pilgreen and wife Laura, nieces Janis Powell Pilgreen and Teresa Morrow and her husband Mark Morrow and other loving family and friends.
