Private graveside services for Mr. Samuel Burgess "Trey" White, III, age 59 of Ruston, LA will be held for the family at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruston with Rev. Paul Watts officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Trey was born August 3, 1963 in Ruston to Mary Kay and Sammy White, and he passed away February 24, 2023 quietly at home in Ruston. He was a member of the Episcopal Church and served as an acolyte in his younger years. Trey was a member of the youth group of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Ruston. He graduated in 1981 from Cedar Creek School where he enjoyed playing football and participating in industrial arts. Trey attended Louisiana Tech University majoring in business and was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He was the proud owner and operator of his beloved towing company American Towing. This company allowed Trey to serve his community and fellow first responders. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. S.B. White; maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Clyde C. Colvin; and brother Scott Colvin White.

Trey is survived by his parents; brother Steve White; son Brad White; daughter Laura White; uncles Cal Colvin, Jr. and wife Joyce and Don Colvin and wife Alisha; nieces Lexi Burch and husband Garrett and Brittany White; nephew Dillon White; and a host of family and friends.

The family would like to thank Amanda, Jessica, Nicole and Brooke as well as the entire staff of Allegiance Hospice Care of Northeast Louisiana and the Ruston Fire Department for their help and their care for Trey.

Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 PM, Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Owens Memorial Funeral Home in Ruston.
