Graveside services for Tommy Pylant, age 67 of Ruston will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at New Hope Cemetery with Rev. Dwayne Monk and Rev. Blain Markham officiating.

Tommy was born on November 21, 1953 in Ruston, LA and passed away on February 8, 2021 in West Monroe, LA. He cherished life to the fullest and was always on the go. Tommy enjoyed working as a truck driver and traveling all over the United States. When Tommy wasn't on the road, his favorite morning pass time was drinking coffee with his long-time friends and catching up on the latest town gossip. He also loved spending time in the woods always looking for that big buck. During the summer he enjoyed growing a garden which is a tradition he passed down to all his children. Tommy's favorite part of gardening was driving the tractor and the kids were lucky if he didn't tear something up. His biggest love was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Tommy was preceded in death by parents: Dhuett Pylant and wife Leo; his beloved wife: Debbie Pylant; brothers: Mike Pylant, Reagan Pylant.

Tommy is survived by children: Aaron Pylant and wife Ashley of Ruston, LA, Melissa Wilson and partner David Emberton of Bossier City, LA, Jay Jensen and wife Tina of Virginia Beach, VA; sisters: Sandra and husband Woody Leggett of Ruston, LA, Debra Goforth of Choudrant, LA; nine grandchildren: McKenzie, Gage, Nathan, Dawson, Colin, Tommy, Timmy and Tierra; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. In his later years he found love again with MarySue Gregory.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Leggett, Jason Barrett, Jesse Pylant, Brad Goforth, Dustin Goforth and Judd Dutton. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Brown, Mickey Fitzgerald, Billy Bennett, Jim Mixon, Tommy Body, Gary Robertson and Mike Menchaca.
