Tinty was born October 19, 1946, to Lonnie M. and Gladys Dean, and he passed away at home July 26, 2022. He graduated from Athens High school, and, soon after graduating, he went into in the Air Force. After serving in the Air Force, Tinty went to work for the Coca-Cola bottling plant in Minden, LA. When he retired from Coca-Cola, he went to work at the Boomtown Casino as a blackjack dealer for the next 12 years. Tinty's life was fulfilled when he met and married his wife, Jomalyn. For the last 11 years, she has been a blessing and a true angel to our father and his children. He loved playing dominoes with all of his friends in the domino world. Tinty was his son's biggest fan and attended all of his son's baseball games. They especially bonded over traveling to Colorado to hunt elk together. His daughter enjoyed their conversations on the phone every day and watching cowboy movies when he came to visit. Tinty is preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Melvin Dean; his mother, Gladys Sue Dean; his brothers: Melvin Dean and Floyd Dean; his sister, Fannie Sue Dean Merritt; granddaughter, Jessica Kay Dean; and a nephew, James Fredrick Merritt.

Tinty is survived by his wife, Jomalyn Dean; son, Charles Dean and wife, Brandi; daughter Pamela and husband, Tom Leith; grandsons, Christian Dean and Dallas Leith; brother, James Dean and wife, Nelle Jean; and many nieces, nephews, family, and a host of friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Christian Dean, Dallas Leith, Ray Hammond, Kenny Hammond, Mike Towns, and Jay Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be "The Domino Gang."
