Obituary

Memorial services for Tammy Wiltcher, age 66, of Ruston, LA will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Owens Memorial Chapel. All services are under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Ruston, La.

Tammy was born June 8, 1959, in Ruston, LA, and passed away November 10, 2025, after a brief illness. She was a respected banking professional with more than four decades in banking experience. She began her career at Ruston State Bank in the late 1970s and in 1987 joined the Community Trust/Origin Bank family. Tammy spent over 37 years there as Vice President, Senior ACH Analyst. She had an unwavering dedication to the bank, her colleagues, and her clients. She maintained a spirit of excellence and was instrumental in Origin's first business online banking solutions and played a key role in multiple conversions and acquisitions. She was an expert in her field and proudly earned accredited ACH professional credentials.

Tammy was also a devoted mentor. She took pride in the team she built and ensured that those she trained were equipped to succeed. Her coworkers affectionately describe Tammy as running a "tight ship" always striving for perfection.

Tammy absolutely loved the beach. It truly was her "happy place." She took many trips with cherished friends, Melanie, JoEllen, and Margo. They were affectionately known as the "Menopause Mafia." She loved her time with these special friends and always looked forward to their next trip.

Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Barbara Jo Wiltcher, and her brother, Tommy Wiltcher.

She is survived by: sister-in-law, Denise Wiltcher; niece, Megan Wiltcher Zanchettin and husband Franco Zanchettin; great-niece, Maddalena Anelle "Maddie"; great-nephew, Vincent Vitale "Vinny" Zanchettin all of Amarillo, Texas; Aunt Christine "Chris" Martin; several cousins; and her adored pup, "Thor."

Tammy will be remembered for her professional expertise, quick wit, humor, and loyal dedication to her family, friends, and profession. She will be greatly missed by many.
