Funeral services for Tammie Lynn Sutton, age 62 of Choudrant, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 2, 2022 at New Hope Baptist Church in Choudrant, LA with Rev. Dwayne Monk officiating. Services are under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

Tammie was born May 24, 1960 to LaQuita "Lee" and Ernest Sutton, Jr. in Ruston, LA. She was called home to be with our Lord on June 29, 2022. She was an active member of New Hope Baptist Church, and she enjoyed singing in the choir and attending fellowship with her church family and friends. Tammy had an uncanny knack for remembering people and made friends with an ease most that of us will never know. She was funny, charming, sly when she wanted to be, and completely unable to successfully lie about sneaking a snack when caught red handed. Tammie was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Lois Griffith, who lived with her for many years, and by her father, Ernest. The family is greatly comforted to know that her Daddy was there to greet her and that she was able to run to him joyfully with open arms. Tammie is already sorely missed.

Tammie is survived by: her mother, LaQuita O'Neal of Choudrant, LA; sister, Tawana Winfree, of Choudrant, LA; her brother and sister-in-law, Trey and Kimberly Sutton, of Bentonville, AR; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends so dear as to be family.

Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM, Saturday, July 2, 2022 at New Hope Baptist Church.
