Funeral services for Shelby Roberson, age 32 of Ruston, LA will be held at 1:00PM, Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Life Church in Ruston with Rev. Dallas Witt and Rev. Jerrel Boudoin officiating.   Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Arcadia, LA under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

For our "Dolly Wolly" aka "Shoobie".  To say the least, Shelby was spoiled.  Having 11 boy cousins on one side of the family and some on the other side, she was definitely doted on.  Love is something she had plenty of and perhaps that's why she had so much love for others and Lord knows animals.  Shelby has always given to others, and most of the time before herself.  She thought she could save every stray animal and she passed that on to her daughter.  To say the least, she will be missed, and we do not yet know how to live without her and her brother, Matt, but God will show us the way.  We do not understand, but we have faith in God's reasons for needing them back.  We need you here our "Dolly Wolly", but you will help us from above.  "And God wiped away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be any more pain, for the former things have past away." Revelations 21:4

Shelby is survived by two children: Alaya Blakely and Bryce Blakely; parents, Scottie and Tina Roberson all of Ruston, LA and grandparents: Jerry and Virgie Roberson of Arcadia, LA, Sammy and Brenda Matthews of Saline, LA and Mary Ann Jacobson of Jonesboro, LA.

Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel May, Nick Cripps, Dawayne Roberson, Eric Cripps, Madison Matthews, Dakota Dowing, Peanut Smith and Koty Matthews.  Honorary pallbearers are Adam May and Jacob May.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00PM, Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Owens Memorial Chapel.
