Funeral services for Sandra Adkins of Ruston will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 18, 2019 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston with Rev. Brad Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Sandra was born February 26, 1945 in Willow Shade, KY and passed away January 16, 2019 at the age of 73.  She loved to play bingo and earned the nickname, "Bingo Nut".  She also enjoyed playing canasta.  Sandra loved taking care of her husband and kids, keeping house and was a good cook.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Spear and two sisters: Elizabeth Young and Frances Blankenship.

Sandra is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Jim Adkins of Ruston; one daughter, Stacy and husband Paul Harper of Calhoun; one son, Steve Adkins and wife Angie of Ruston; two granddaughters:  Amanda Adkins of Bossier City and Maddie Adkins of Ruston; two sisters: Wanda and husband Bobby Williamson of Louisville, KY and Dolly Burton of Glasgow, KY; and one brother, Bob Spear of Indianapolis, IN.
