Memorial services for Robert Malcolm Roach, age 72 of Ruston, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Ruston, Louisiana with Bro. Jeff Sanford and Bro. Paul Watts officiating.

Robert Malcolm Roach, born on October 20th, 1951 and joined Jesus on March 15th, 2024, surrounded by his family, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. Known for his mischievous spirit and loving heart, Rob was quite a prankster and showed his affection through his actions. He is reunited in heaven with his parents, Frances Colvin Roach and Robert Davis Roach, Jr.

Rob leaves behind his beloved wife of 44 years, Roberta Fontenot (Robbie) Roach; daughter, Ashley R. Smith and husband Shon C. Smith; son, Cody J. Roach and wife Chancy S. Roach; sister, Sarah R. Burdine and husband, Jim Burdine; and grandchildren: Trenton, Brody, Isabella, Collin, and Genevieve. They were the joy of his life.

A man of many passions, Robert took pride in his family and work. He was rarely without a Diet Coke, and he reveled in football, wrestling, and NCIS. His interests ranged from muzzle loading and hunting, road trips on his motorcycle with his wife, metal detecting, photography, and collecting weaponry and gadgets.

To know Rob was to love him, and his memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be held from10:00 AM until service time, Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to St. Jude or locally 4paws in his name.
