Funeral services for Robert Jenkins of Dubach, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Living Water Full Gospel Church in Ruston, LA with Pastor Scott Jennings officiating.  Burial will follow in the Henry Cemetery in Dubach under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

Surrounded by family, Robert Wayne Jenkins, age 73, came to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.  He was born October 29, 1948, the only child of Billy Gene and Billie Jean Jenkins.  He and his parents moved to Jacksonville, TX in 1967.  Robert was drafted into the US Army and served our country by fighting in the Vietnam War.  Upon completing his military service, he married the love of his life, Debra Kay White on June 4, 1971.  Early in marriage they came to know the Lord and served him throughout their marriage.  He was a faithful servant of the Lord and a faithful member of Living Water Full Gospel Church, having a deep love for his church family.  He had a deep love for his family and was a devoted husband and father, being always present in their lives.  Robert worked as a welder in various industrial plants throughout his career and retired as a "killer welder" admired by many co-workers in his field.  He was a passionate fisherman, amateur hunter and uniquely, was the king of comedy.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Robert is survived by his wife, Debra Jenkins; children:  John Paul Jenkins (Charlene) of  Dubach, Traci Jenkins (fiancé  Jed McCall) of Calhoun, Michelle Webb (Brandon) of El Dorado, AR and Stephen Jenkins of Dubach; grandchildren:  Bryce Cobb (wife, Taylor), Alli Cobb, Skye Jenkins, Natalie Jenkins, Derek Wendt, Jadon Webb, Ellie Jenkins and Robbie Jenkins; great-grandchildren:  Hazel Cobb, soon to be Violet Cobb and Nevaeh Lynch and numerous in-laws, nephews, nieces and friends whom he loved dearly.  Robert will be greatly missed by all who knew him and we look forward to the day we see him again.

Serving as pallbearers will be Donny Horton, Danny Frazier, Steven Wade, Kenneth Gortemiller, Kevin Pirtle, Curtis Tubbs, Mark Caver and Cecil Minor.
