A memorial service for Mr. Richard Wayne Brower, age 74 of Ruston, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Temple Church in Ruston. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Richard was born February 21, 1948 in Long Island, NY to Florence Louise Turko and Charles Brower, and he passed away January 22, 2023 in Ruston. Before moving to Ruston, he was a professional high rise window washer in his hometown of Long Island. Richard served for our country in the Army. He enjoyed watching politics and movies on his television. Richard also enjoyed the outdoors and being outside. He really liked to fish. Richard loved to spend time with his family. He had a big heart for cats and dogs alike. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; brother Wayne Elliott; and sister Laura Flynn.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 23 years Janice Brower of Ruston; daughters Didi Brower and Carol Brower; son Richard Brower, Jr.; step-sons Benjamin Harvey and Megan of Ruston and David Harvey of Ruston; grandson Ian Harvey; brother Charles Brower; step-brothers Michael Elliott and Anna of Goodlettsville, TN and Robert Elliott; sister Gladys Ann White; and a host of family and friends.
