Recie Ruth
"Granny" Sanderson
Aug 20, 1927 — Mar 4, 2023
Choudrant
Ruth was born August 20, 1927 in Bienville, LA to Josie Linton and Sidney Allen Tims and was called to her Heavenly home March 4, 2023 in Choudrant. She lived most of her life in Choudrant, and that is where she met and married the love of her life Gerald "Red" Sanderson. Granny worked for the United States Post Office in Choudrant and retired after 35 years of dedicated work. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Choudrant. Ruth was a prayer warrior, a servant, a witness and a caregiver. She always thought of others before herself. Granny was a wonderful mom to her son Richard Breen and was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with and caring for her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Roy Tims and George Tims; sisters: Fronie Emory, Bargie Smith, Toy Smith and Dennie Harrell; and grandson Steven Ryan Breen.
Ruth is survived by her son Richard Carroll Breen and wife Cindy; grandsons: Mike Breen and wife Diana, Chase Breen and wife Hollyn and Cody Breen and wife Crystal; great-grandchildren: Austin Breen and fiancée Madalyne Broussard, Connor, Lauren, Collier, Reese, Cole, Briley and Finley Breen; extended family: Shane Cheatham and wife Melanie, Jay Burrows, Jonathan Ward and wife Alise, Jim Cheatham, Brian Burrows, her caregivers and friends too numerous to mention; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was a Granny to everyone.
