Randall Alan Lee, 66, of Ruston, LA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. A cowboy at heart, Randy devoted his life to shepherding God’s people and spent over 40 years sharing the gospel and sharing the love of Jesus as a pastor, who genuinely loved people.

Born in Shreveport on February 16, 1960, Randy spent his childhood in the Summerfield community where he developed a love of horses and all things rodeo. Randy focused on bull riding as it fit well with his love of adventure and excitement. Randy pursued his passion for bull riding for the next decade where he competed and was twice an LRA Finalist. During his career competing for championships, Randy became keenly aware of a spiritual relationship that he felt needed his attention. A call to serve in the ministry. Randy answered God’s call to serve and became the Youth Pastor at Pinecroft Baptist Church. Randy also found a way to include his passion for rodeo and his calling to preach by helping to establish Cowboy Church in northwest Louisiana. It became a place for Randy to share Jesus with old friends, rodeo family, and cowboys from all over. Randy enthusiastically told thousands of people about Jesus.

Randy pastored several churches in his over 40 years in the service of Gods people, among them: Pinecroft, Cotton Valley, Fellowship Baptist in Dubach, Ebenezer Baptist at Caney Lake and Center Point in Jonesboro, all the while he pursued his other passion, missions. Randy led mission trips to the Dakotas and many mission trips to the Yucatan. Faithfully loving people, Randy was always sharing the Gospel until his retirement in 2022.

Randy held a Bachelors of Applied Science from East Texas Baptist University (1996) and a Masters of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (2000). Both an avid hunter and fisherman, Randy’s adventurous side led him to pursue and gain his pilot’s license, all hobbies that gave him yet more opportunities to share Christ.

Randy Lee is survived by his loving bride, Carol Ann; children, Haley Strozier, Tara Strozier, Beatty Strozier and his wife Amber; two grandchildren who he loved deeply, Tripp “Fird” Scott and Ivy Strozier; two estranged children who he dearly loved, Shanna Bray and Cody Lee; brother, Richard Lee; sister, Venetia Caudle and husband Lee; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Burnette Lee and Julia Faye Saunders.

A celebration of Randy’s life for the people he touched will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Quitman Baptist Church with Bro. Barry Joyner, Bro. Donald Rudd, and Bro. David Walsworth officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruston, LA under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Hood, Gary Morris, Robert Stassen, Kyle Stasson, Danny Allen, Shellie Hennigan, Kerry Byrnes, and Henry Watts. Honorary pallbearers include TJ Doss, Brandon Lowery, and Allen Lyndsey.
