Funeral Services for Rachel Ann Dumas, age 38 of Hodge, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Owens Memorial Chapel with Rec. T.J. Boyd officiating. Interment will follow in St. Rest Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

Rachael was born on August 16, 1982 to John and Connie Bruner in Natchez, Mississippi and died on September 13, 2020 in Hodge, Louisiana. She made a big entrance into this world. Rachael didn't waste any time getting here. She came rolling out like a tumbleweed and that was the theme of her life ever since. Rachael was always the life of the party. She was a free spirit! Anyone that knew her would agree. Rachael wanted to experience as much as possible in this little life and she had a full one. She came as quickly as she went...just like a tumbleweed in the wind young, wild and free.

Rachael is survived by daughter, Alizia Dumas; son, Christian Dumas of Davenport, Florida; father John Bruner and his wife Ho Cha of Washington, Arkansas; mother, Connie Reid of Minden, Louisiana; two sisters, Kimberly and husband Franky Smith of Simsboro, Louisiana and Ashlee and husband Jared Lay of Minden, Louisiana; two brothers, James Bruner of Arcadia, Louisiana and Ricky Lee Reid Jr. and fiancé Amber of Haynesville, Louisiana; grandmother, Dorothy Reid of Natchez, Mississippi and step-father, Rickey Reid Sr. of Natchez, Mississippi.

Serving as pallbearers will be Franky Smith, Caleb Smith, Landen Smith, Jacob Cole, Jared Lay and Floyd Knox.
