Funeral services for Peggy Atkins Worley, age 80 of Ruston will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Clay United Methodist Church with Bro. David Bolyer and Rev. Dalton Rushing officiating. Internment will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Ruston, LA.

Peggy began her life journey on February 2, 1940, in Ansley, LA, the second child of Ollie Elvin (O.E.) Atkins and his wife Lela Mae Goss Atkins. She graduated from Quitman High School in 1958, having been a member of the basketball team for which she played guard and was voted Most Likely to Succeed.  Peggy's hobbies included playing the piano, bingo, sewing, and playing with her grandbabies.

Peggy was met in Heaven by parents: Ollie Elvin (O.E.) and Lela Mae Atkins; brother: Don David Atkins; her grandson: Max Shatto and great granddaughter: Starlin Blalock.

Peggy is survived by brother: Carl Atkins and wife Brenda; sister-in-law: Sherry Atkins of Clay, LA; children: Sandi and husband Terry Lawson of Clay, LA, Ken Blalock of Ruston, LA, Laura and husband Alan Shatto of Gardendale, TX, Doug Worley and wife Telina of Castor, LA; her grandchildren: Trey Blalock and wife Danielle, Jourdan Blalock, J.D. Worley and wife Brittany, Scarlett and husband Justin Wilkinson, Anslea Roberts, Kaylie Blalock, Kristopher Shatto, Gracie and Alivia Rimsky, and Ben Worley; great grandchildren: Klea, Kutter, and Krewe Blalock, Kensley and Rylen Caskey, Addison and Natalie Worley, and Arabella and Avaleigh Worley.

Pallbearers will be Trey Blalock, Scott Freeman, John Massey, Sammy Richards, Justin Wilkinson, and J.D. Worley. Honorary pallbearers will be her youngest grandsons, Kristopher Shatto and Ben Worley, great grandsons Kutter and Krewe Blalock, and Rylen Caskey.
