Funeral services for Michael Marshall, age 69 of Ruston, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Owens Memorial Chapel with Pastor Greg Morrow officiating.  Burial will follow in the Dean Cemetery near Marion, LA under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Michael was born July 24, 1952 and was called to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, February 17, 2022.  He fought several health issues for a number of years.  Michael was drafted into the Army in 1972 and served our country overseas.  He had a deep love for his family and was a devoted father, always being present in their lives.  Mike worked in the oilfield throughout his life.  He was a passionate fisherman and hunter, and he lived life to the fullest and always welcomed everyone into his home with open arms.  Mike was preceded in death by his parents, William H. Marshall, Sr. and Sarah Ann Marshall Hemphill; brother, Johnny Joe Marshall and sister, Judy Ethridge.

Mike is survived by his estranged wife, Mariana Marshall; two daughters: Kelly Marshall (Mauricio) and Michelle Marshall Young; five sons:  Jesse Palacios (Veronica), Carlos Palacios (Marcie), Ruben Palacios (Christian), James Robert Marshall and Tommy Rae Marshall; two brothers: Bill Marshall and Bob Marshall (Janet); two sisters:  Susie Marshall Pilcher and Karla Ann McManus (Gary).  He also had numerous grandchildren that he loved and will be greatly missed by.

His grandsons will serve as pallbearers, Larry Young, Justin Young, Michael Merino, Steven Vargas, Alexander Palacios and Jesse Palacios.
