Funeral services for Mr. Michael "Mike" Caver, age 68 of Dubach, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Sharon Baptist Church in Dubach with Bro. Jeff Roberts and Rev. Caroll Holmes officiating.  Services are under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

Michael worked for poultry farms for 50 years.  He enjoyed attending sports events and watching football, baseball and basketball on TV while supporting his favorite local teams.  If baseball was on, he would have a ball and glove in his hand, or football or basketball in hand, depending on the game.  He kept up with sports on his computer for hours.  Mike loved to read and had numerous books still on order.    He enjoyed his pets, Sadie and Daisy.  Michael loved spending time with his wife, daughter and son-in-law and his church family.  He also loved to eat out, especially steak, shrimp and oysters.

Michael is survived by his wife of 24 years, Lisa Caver of Dubach; his daughter, Logan and husband Zackrey Givens of Shreveport; three sisters:  Diane and Kurth Tabor of Homer, Judy Caver and fiancé Russell Lyons of Dubach and Teresa and husband Buddy McCaa of Ruston; one brother, Ricky Caver and wife Tracey of Gulfport, MS; two aunts:  Virginia Sillavan of Ruston and Maxine Kilpatrick of Arcadia and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Sharon Baptist Church, 2769 Hwy 152, Dubach, LA  71235.  Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Sharon Baptist Church.
