Micah Joel Goins, age 47 passed away Saturday January 12, 2019. He was born November 27, 1971 in Winnfield, La to Robert Glen Goins and Linda Diane Goins.

He was a hairstylist at Maison Rive' and was known by all his clients as the "hair god". Micah lived his life on the edge and to the fullest every day of his life. He has an uncanny ability to connect with horses and all of nature. He was very talented in everything he chose to do. One of his passions was photography and he shared his photos with the world. His one and only love was for his horses which came from his Aunt Sue Franklin, who recognized his natural ability at an early age. You could find him at an arena at any time of day or night. He was the most giving person and would do anything for anyone. He had the most contagious laugh and his smile could light up a room.

Micah is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert Paul Goins and Joy Henderson Wise and his maternal grandparents, EC Litton and Dorothy Carnline Brewster.

He is survived by his parents Robert Glen Goins and Linda Diane Goins. His sister Melissa Goins Heard and husband Tracy Gene Heard. His beloved nephew Nathan Bradach Anderson and his beloved niece Emma Lynne Heard who he adored. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends whose lives Micah touched.

A memorial service will be held in his honor at 2:00 PM Friday January 18, 2019 at Owens Funeral Home. Visitation is from 1-2:00 PM prior to the memorial service.
