Funeral services for Melinda Adkins, age 38 of Ruston will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Springhill Baptist Church with Bro. Chris Craig officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

Melinda was born on June 28, 1982 in Alexandria, LA and passed away peacefully on January 31, 2021 in Ruston, LA. She loved her husband, Jason and children, Jasmine, Lainey and Drake with all of her heart. Melinda devoted all her time and energy into her girl's activities including track, cheer, school trips and more. She was their number one fan in all their activities. Melinda's favorite place in the world was spending time with her family at Disney World and the beach. She loved her entire family with all of her heart.

Melinda is survived by her husband of 18 years: Jason; daughters: Jasmine, Lainey; step son: Drake; parents: Michael Connor and wife Teresa; brother: Matthew Connor; sister: Michaela and husband Jonathan Stewart and their children Makenzie, Eli, Liam, and Jaxon; father and mother-in-law: Paul Adkins and wife Beverly; sister and brother-in-law: Anisha and husband Kevin Hall and their son Hunter Davis; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, family and friends who she all loved dearly.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Reed, Jonathan Stewart, Hunter Davis, Blake Caldwell, Eddie Thompson and Jacob Albritton.

Family visitation will be held from 11:00 – 12:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 3, 2021, please be respectful of the family's privacy during this time. Public visitation will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 3, 2021.
