Matt was born in Ruston on October 4, 1987 and remained in Ruston until his passing. Growing up Matt enjoyed baseball, basketball, football, & soccer. He was a 2006 graduate of Ruston High School where he excelled on the football field. Throughout his high school career Matt gained the love and respect of many coaches, teammates & friends. His accolades and abilities on the football field were apparent to everyone that ever had the chance to watch him play, but anyone who knew Matt personally was well aware of the love he held for his family & friends above all. Shortly after high school Matt began his professional career in the construction equipment rental industry, a field he remained in until his passing. He was so proud to be a part of the company he worked for and was always around to keep people laughing and on their toes. His smile was infectious, he could literally light up any room he entered and always knew exactly what to say.
In 2019, Matt achieved what would be his greatest accomplishment, by welcoming his son Tanner into this world. He was incredibly proud to call himself a Father, the one thing he wanted more than anything. Matt was a loving & devoted father, son & brother. He was an amazing friend that was loved by everyone and will be deeply missed by all.
