Funeral services for Marie Tims, "Granny", age 95 of Choudrant, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston, LA with Rev. Steve Hughes, Rev. Jason Lupo and Deeva Hennesy officiating.  Burial will follow in the Douglas Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

Marie was born August 5, 1926 in Farmerville, LA and passed away November 21, 2021 in Ruston, LA.  She was a Christian lady that loved sharing the word of God with everyone.  Marie always had a smile on her face.  She loved her family and friends and always enjoyed her visits with her children, grandchildren and friends.  Marie also loved singing her favorite song, "Heaven Holds All to Me".  She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Tims; parents, Lawrence Emmette McGough and Sally Mrytle Albritton McGough; brother, Emmette McGough, Jr.; sister, Jean Tucker; daughter, Linda Tims; sons, Kent and Stan Tims and grandson, Chris Jarmon.

Marie is survived by her daughters: Roetta Jarmon of Choudrant, LA, Brenda Frasier (Jeff) of Dubach, LA and Gail Gibson (Ken) of Delhi, LA; grandson, Justin Frasier; granddaughters: Jennifer Johnson (Jamey) of Choudrant, LA, Leslie Frasier of Ruston, LA, Amy Kennimer (Kane) of Dubach, LA and Brittany Gibson of Delhi, LA; great-granddaughters: Taylor Summerville, Jordyn Marie Johnson, Evie Marie Frasier, Peyton Jarmon and Chandlor Stromire; great-grandsons: Zach Jarmon, Luke Parker, Will Regan, Ryder Jarmon and James Johnson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Frasier, Brent Tucker, Brian Tucker, Jamey Johnson, Lanny McGough and Kane Kennimer.  Honorary pallbearers are Billy Emory, Chris McGough, Richard Breen and Rosco McGough.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time Wednesday at Owens Memorial Chapel.
