Funeral services for Lisa Haywood Younse, age 55, of Choudrant, LA will be held at 2:00, P.M., Friday, October 11, 2019 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with a viewing one hour before the service. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Lisa was born July 7, 1964 in Monroe, LA to Sammy and Esther Haywood.  She was a strong Christian and active member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Choudrant, LA, where she enjoyed being a teacher in the Children's Church. Lisa loved her family and her children and her grandchildren were her world. She enjoyed watching sports, and discussing the positions and plays with her grandson Hayden.  She was an avid Saints fan and was very vocal in her cheering.

Lisa is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Younse of Choudrant, LA; her father, Sammy Haywood; brother, Terry Haywood and sister, Susan Haywood.

She is survived by her mother, Esther Haywood of Choudrant, LA, daughter; Kimberly Lites of Charlotte, N.C., Brigett Adkins and son-in-law  Chris Adkins; sons: Nathan Younse and Matthew Younse both of Choudrant, LA; brothers: Sam Haywood of Lawrenceville, GA, and Thomas Haywood of Winnsboro, LA; and aunt, Judy Hise of Choudrant, LA; sister-in-law, Angie Adkins of Ruston, LA; grandchildren: Hayden, Caleb and Grant Adkins and Gunner, Leyton and Hadley Younse, and many other family members too numerous to mention.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Brandon Younse, Cody Younse, Tim Younse, Devon Haywood, Derek Smith, and Scott Causey.
