Graveside service for Joyce Ann Hinton Lowery, age 88 of Ruston, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 28, 2026 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 1127 Mondy Road, Ruston, LA with Bro. Greg Morrow officiating. Services are under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

Joyce Ann was born November 28, 1937 in Lincoln Parish, LA to Jesse Marie and Joseph Hinton. She passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026 in her home surrounded by her children.

Joyce Ann was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and friend. She loved being outdoors working in her garden or with her flowers, sewing (especially special quilts for grandchildren and other babies in her family), cooking for her family, fishing with Buddy, spending time with family and friends, and going to church. Joyce Ann was a long-time and faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Ruston.

Joyce Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Cullen “JC” Hinton and Jessie Marie Gardner Hinton; husband, John Allen “Buddy” Lowery; brother, James Allen Hinton; great-grandson, Ethan Lowery; and sons-in-law, Tom “Catfish” Davis and Charles Craig.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Penny Lowery-Craig, Robert Dale Lowery and wife Joanne, and Sandra Lowery Davis; grandchildren, Scott Love, Bradley Love and wife Kellie, Sarah Love Caldwell and husband Cameron, Robert Daniel Lowery, Heather Lowery Crawford and husband Clint, Joseph Davis, and Jessica Davis Potts and husband Jason; thirteen great-grandchildren, five great-greatgrandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Hinton Lee; sister-in-law, Jackie Lowery Nelson and husband Bobby; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be her seven grandchildren: Robert, Scott, Joseph, Bradley, Heather, Sarah, and Jessica.
