Memorial services for John Walter Spencer II will be held at University Baptist Church on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11 am.

John Walter Spencer II was born on April 24, 1957 in Beckley, WV and was embraced by Christ on April 19, 2019.  He is our precious Pops. The man. The myth.  The legend.  He had a love for music, hard work and above everything else, his family.  John was a wonderful and God fearing husband, father and grandfather.  He is loved by many. Life is good.

John is preceded in death by mother Nancy Elizabeth Ames and father John Walter Spencer.

He is survived by his faithful bride Susan Bradley Spencer. Children Jenifer Marie Thompson, Greg Alvin Spencer, Emily Delane Gorman, Aubrey Lee Spencer and Jentsel Weis Spencer. He and Susan share eight grandchildren, Summer Nicole Spencer, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Spencer, Olivia Lucille DeCoulode, Asa Benjamin Christian, Adlee McKenna Spencer, Grasyn Avery Spencer, Logan Lee Gorman and Mason Tyler Hogue. John also has three loving sisters, Lorah Arlene Smith, Novella Duane Pixley and Nancy Beth Bailey.
