Jimmy Dewayne Rose was born on December 3, 1967 in Ruston, LA to Jimmy Devon Rose and Bernice Skipper Rose. He passed away unexpectedly, on October 22, 2021 at his and Paula's fishing camp, where he loved to just sit, relax and mow the lawn. (And everyone else's.)

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 33 years, Paula Bettell Rose; two sons, Jimmy Wayne Rose (Jacobie) and Hunter Dean Rose; two brothers: Terry Rose (Jennifer) and Mark Theodos; one sister: Tammy Rose Harrelson (Michael) and several nieces and nephews. He had countless friends and cousins that were as close as brothers.

Jimmy was a lineman for most of his adult life. He was very proficient in his ability as an A-class lineman, and he enjoyed his work.

Jimmy was well liked, loved and respected amongst friends, family and co-workers. He never looked down on anyone and would offer you the shirt off his own back, if you were in need. And if he knew you were short of funds, you would still eat, because he was going to buy you a meal.

The only thing he loved more than people, other than God, were dogs. He could NOT pass up a stray.

Please share your memories of "Big Jim" with his family on Friday, October 29, 2021, at Rock Corner Family Life Center, 824 Rock Corner Rd., Dubach, LA. Fellowship will start at 1:00 pm and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm. Mr. Ben Pierce and Mr. Joey Butt will officiate.
