Rev. Jimmy Cleveland Barmore was born on February 8, 1946, to parents Grover Cleveland Barmore and Bobbie Gallman Leveque. He passed away on April 10, 2021, in West Monroe, LA.

Rev. Jimmy was a letter carrier for 43 years. He was also called to minister, which he excelled at. He served as a marine for years, and was a Vietnam veteran.  Rev. Jimmy loved his family and friends. He enjoyed western and war movies. Rev. Jimmy was a beautiful person and was loved by many. He was at the center of all our lives, from weddings, to births and through the last breath of our loved ones. He will be missed.

Rev. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jessie Castle Barmore; son, Josh Barmore (Amanda), of Madisonville, LA; daughter, Jayme Barmore, of West Monroe, LA; grandson, raised as their son, Christian Griffen (Erica), of Lake Charles, LA; brothers: Scott Barmore (Maria), and Steve Barmore (Pam); sisters: Linda Whitley (Don) and Sherry Dean; grandchildren: Phillip Barmore, Mallory Barmore, Peyton Barmore, and Madison Barmore.

Rev. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Chris Barmore; and brother, Donnie Barmore.

Visitation will be held at Owens Memorial Chapel from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.
