Funeral services for Jesse Layne Holland, age 1, will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston, LA, with burial to follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

Jesse Layne Holland was born on December 12, 2018 and passed away on May 23, 2020. Jesse was all boy, but with a tender heart. He loved to snuggle, give lots of hugs and kisses (especially blowing kisses). He was such a happy child, always being silly to make you smile. He loved riding the four-wheeler with his dad, swimming, and playing with his favorite cousins, Raiden Bodkins, McKenzie and Baily Martin. He liked his cookies and seeing how many he could eat. Although he lived only a short life, he lived it to the fullest taking joy in everything he did, including chasing his sister around the house with the biggest grin on his face when he caught her.

Jesse is survived by his parents: father, James Wesley Holland of Ruston, and mother, Leeann Edgeworth of Ruston; grandparents: George Roy Holland and Becky Ann of Dubach, grandmother Rose Beavers of Ruston; great-grandmother Gloria Goss of Ruston; brother, Damion M. Holland, sister, Daisy Holland of West Monroe, and sister Aleena Holland of Ruston and lots of aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Waiting in heaven for our little angel, Jesse, are great-grandparents: Robert Lee Holland and Ruthel; great-great-grandmother Donna Ruth Black; grandfathers: Nicky Thomas and Daniel Johnston; cousins, Hunter Lee Holland and Shelly Senter.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, starting at 1:00 PM.
