Jesse J.
Hearold
Jan 10, 1957 — Jun 30, 2025
West Monroe
Funeral services for Jesse James Hearold, age 68 of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Owens Memorial Chapel with Bro. Billy Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in West Monroe under direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.
Jesse was born January 10, 1957 in Monroe, LA to Hazel and Jesse Hearold Jr. and passed away Monday, June 30, 2025 in West Monroe, LA. Jesse worked as an offshore driller before becoming a heavy equipment and crane operator, where he constructed boilers for paper mills and erected wind turbines. Jesse retired as an Instructor of Crane Operator Safety.
He enjoyed operating ham radios from the desk he built himself as he was a skilled craftsman especially with wood. Some of his most cherished builds are displayed in his backyard. He built a gazebo and a squirrel "playground" which included feeders and ladders. Jesse and Teresa would spend hours watching the deer and other wildlife eat from the trough feeder that he had built. Jesse loved riding his Harley with his wife, even making a memorable trip to Sturgis. To say that Jesse loved fishing would be an understatement. Fishing was his ultimate passion. He also enjoyed hunting at his camp in Tensas parish. He enjoyed taking care of his well-manicured yard and was an avid LSU and Saints fan. Jesse was a Master Mason with Cadeville Lodge #229.
Jesse is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Liz Meeks and June Albritton. He leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Teresa "Tessie"; children, Buzzy Hearold, Stormi Hearold, Danna Burway, and Brandon Collins (Marti); seven grandchildren, JT Trainer, Mackenzie Trainer, Mickayla Trainer, Tyler Burway, Sydney Boyd, Taylor Crow, and Tyler Crow; two great-grandchildren and a host of friends and family whom all loved Jesse dearly. Jesse will be truly missed beyond measure.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jamie Langston, Buddy Lee, Chris Reagan, B.T. Townsend, Mike Stansell, and Roy Hoy. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Griggs and Tim Malone.
