Our beloved Mother, Jeannie Marrable Owens Parnell went to be with her Lord on April 21, 2019 at the North Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston, LA. A Celebration of Jeannie's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 1365 Pleasant Grove Rd, Choudrant, LA 71227 with Pastors Kenneth Swanner and Brad Jones officiating. Graveside services will be held at the Alabama Presbyterian Cemetery, 2091 LA-145, Choudrant, LA at 2:00 p.m.

Jeannie was born on January 15, 1944 in El Dorado, AR to the late James I. Marrable and Alta Marie Tucker. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Scottish Society of NorthEast Louisiana and the River City Promenaders Square Dancers. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, William S. Parnell, two sons, M. Todd Owens of Ruston and Mark Owens and his wife Leslie of Choudrant, one stepson, Andy Parnell and wife Charlotte of West Monroe, LA and one stepdaughter, Jada Parnell of Charlotte, NC. Grandchildren, Austin Spillers, Brittany Spillers, Madalyn Owens all of Choudrant, Step grandchildren, Josh Parnell of Shreveport, Lilly Beth Parnell of West Monroe and Jonathan Southall of Charlotte, NC. Great Grandchildren, Blake Spillers and Maverick Spillers of Choudrant, LA., one brother, Jimmy R. Marrable of West Monroe, Very Special Lifelong Friend, Jim Cates of Ruston and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
