Janet K King, age 62 of Homer, LA passed away August 30, 2019 after a lengthy illness. She was a graduate of Neville High School and ULM of Monroe and an honorary member of Rota, Spain Navy club RGA- LTD.  Janet loved the water including Lake Claiborne and the beach at Dauphin Island, AL.  She enjoyed cruising around the lake on her pontoon boat. Janet dearly loved her family and friends.   She lived day by day, never worried about tomorrow and she never met a stranger; she was someone you liked immediately.  Janet was preceded in death by her father, Harice B. King.

Janet is survived by her partner of 21 years, Samm Gilbert; her mother, Frankie King; her brother, Danny King and wife Rene; two nephews:  Dane King and Derrick King and wife Nikki; great nieces and nephews:  Evan, Lucky, Maisy and Lila.

As she requested, a memorial service will be held at her home on Lake Claiborne with all her friends and family, at a later date.
