Military graveside services for James R. Smith of Ruston will be held at 2:00P.M., Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruston, Louisiana.

James was 90 years old and passed from this world into the waiting arms of his Creator on December 23, 2020. He was a native of Ruston, LA and was a resident of Ascension Oaks in Gonzales, LA. James was a God-driven, family oriented, kind hearted, caring, loving and compassionate man. He will be missed by many.

James was preceded in death by wife: Alice Smith; parents: Kasper Smith and wife Iva.

James is survived by daughter: Rhonda and husband Steve Capps; granddaughter: Stephanie Capps.
