Funeral arrangements for James Wilson Bowers, age 81, of Dubach, LA will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Owens Memorial Chapel of Ruston with Pastor Kendall Corken officiating.  Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Ruston, LA under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA .

James was born June 3, 1938 in Ruston, LA to the union of John E. Bowers and Allie Dumas Bowers.  He died September 20, 2019 in Dubach. LA.  He is preceeded in death by his parents; his wife: Shirley Ann Bowers; sisters: Alice Choate and Emma Hicks; grandson: Bobby Ray Causey III and step son: Brandon Allums.

He is survived by his wife: Charlene Bowers.  Daughters: Cindy and huband Bobby Causey of Dubach,Kim and husband Jim Murphy of West Monroe , Karen and huband Robert Neal of Hall Summit, , Dana and husband Riley Rushing of Simsboro; Son: Greg Bowers and wife Lisa of Choudrant.  15 Grandchildren; 33 Great Grandchildren and two Great Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be T.J. Abbott, Mikey Abbott, Cody Abbott, Dylan Bowers, Riley Rushing Jr. and Chris Payne.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM, Monday, September 23, 2019 at Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Ruston, LA.
