Graveside services for J. B. Reese, Jr., age 87, will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruston with Rev. Tony Smith officiating.  Services are under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.  A lifelong resident of Ruston, J. B. passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019.  He was born January 26, 1932 to parents, J. B. Reese, Sr. and Margaret Krousel Reese who preceded him in death.  Also preceding him in death were brothers-in-law, Billy Edwards, A. G. Kirkikis and Buddy Sims.

J. B. was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Ruston High School and Louisiana Tech University. After serving two years in the U.S. Army, he joined his father as an owner and operator of Reese Butane Gas Company.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Peggy Sims Reese; a son, Randall Reese of Dallas; a daughter and son-in-law, Reita and Lee Brice of Bossier City; a granddaughter, Kelly Brice of Fort Worth; two sisters, Virginia Kirkikis of Minden and Patricia Edwards of Ruston; one sister-in-law, Barbara Sims of Minden and several nieces and nephews.

Any planned memorials should be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
