Funeral services for Inez Reed, age 86 of Jonesboro, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM,  Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Springhill Baptist Church, in Jonesboro, with Rev. Wayne Morrow and Rev. Don Cardin officiating. Burial will follow in the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Inez was born on February 4, 1935, in Jonesboro, to parents, Alon Dark and Mary Taylor Dark. She passed away on June 30, 2021 in Jonesboro. During her life, Inez read her Bible every morning and attended church every Sunday, as long as she was able. She loved her grandchildren and had a passion for taking care of people. Inez enjoyed crocheting, sewing, baking and decorating cakes, and playing her word finding puzzles.

Inez is survived by her husband of 65 years, Leonard Reed of Jonesboro, LA; daughter, Beverly and husband Paul Adkins of Jonesboro, LA; grandchildren: Jason Adkins of Ruston, LA, Anisha and husband Kevin Hall of Jonesboro, LA, Brandon Reed and wife Yvonne of Jonesboro, LA, Austin Reed and wife Christy of Willis Point, TX; brother, Jerry Dark, Sr., of Jonesboro, LA; twelve great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and daughter-in-law Tammy and husband David Wheeler of Choudrant, LA.

Inez was preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry Reed; sister, Thelma Ford; sister-in-law, Ruthie Dark; and an infant brother.

Those serving as pallbearers include: Peanut Stewart, Brandon Reed, Austin Reed, Hunter Davis, Shane Reed, David Wheeler, Trevor Hall, Collin Hall and Kevin Hall.
