Funeral services for Hattie Lucille Strozier, age 89 of Ruston will be at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Dana Thrash officiating. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

Lucille was born on November 7, 1931 in Jonesboro, LA and passed away on March 18, 2021 in Ruston, LA. She started work at Jonesboro Drug Store and after that went to work for about ten years at The Fashion in Ruston. Lucille eventually went to work at the Wilson Cafeteria at Louisiana Tech where she retired. Some of her favorite hobbies included canning, pickles and working on puzzles. Lucille really enjoyed traveling outside of the country and going on cruises. One of her favorite places to visit was Mountain View, Arkansas. Lucille spent a lot of her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.

Lucille was preceded in death by husband: Wayman Strozier; ten brothers and sisters, grandson: Larry Sheldon Tolar and great grandson: Seth James Bradford; daughter in law: Diane Strozier.

Lucille is survived by four sons: Kenny Strozier of Ruston, LA, Sammy Strozier and wife Tami of Ruston, LA, Johnny Strozier and wife Becky of Ruston, LA, and Rusty Strozier and wife Angela of Ruston, LA; daughter: Sharon and husband Harold Parnell of Choudrant, LA; fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren on the way.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Tolar, Kenny Wayne Strozier, Samuel Thomas Strozier, John Craig Harlan Strozier, Michael Shane Strozier and Beatty Aaron Strozier.
