Grady Carroll Duke, Jr. was born June 1, 1950 to Evelyn and Grady Duke, Sr. in Monroe, LA. He passed away June 3, 2022 in Bossier City, LA. For several years, he was an owner of the restaurant "Papa Joe's" in Ruston, LA. Grady was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed gardening, playing music, and he loved watching westerns. He loved to travel, and he thoroughly enjoyed the time he spent with his dogs. Grady was preceded in death by his parents, Ma Pete and Grady Duke, Sr., great-grandson Elijah Duke, sister Floy "Jack" Howard, nephew Lance Nolan, his partner Papa Joe Palmer, and numerous other family members.

Grady is survived by his daughters Crystal Duke Friday and husband, D.D. Russell, and Miranda Lee and husband, Jeff; grandchildren: Megane Smith, Trevor Smith, Elizabeth Duke and husband, Ben Grant, Logan Lee, Maddie Lee, Bailey Lee, Gabriella Gilmer, and Stoney Gilmer; great-grandchildren Elana Griswold and Sawyer Grant; sister Brenda Brown, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.
