Glen Erroll Neaville

Funeral services for Mr. Glen Erroll Neaville, age 90 of Dubach, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Salem Church with Rev. Robbie Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

Glen Erroll Neaville was born in Griffithville, AR in White County on September 4, 1935 to John Erroll Neaville and Nellie Mathes Neaville. He had one older sister Vivian Luella. He passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026 in Ruston, LA.

Moving to North Louisiana in the early 1940's, Glen grew up in Ansley, Dubach and Clay. While in high school, he ran the movie projectors at The Gem Theater in Dubach. At Ruston High School, he was in the band, quartet and choir. He had a love for music. After graduation he joined The United States Navy and served 2 years on The USS Dixie AD14 from 1954-1956 and participated in two Pacific and Far East tours including Hawaii, Hong Kong and the Philippines. He remained in the Navy Reserves until 1961. Glen returned to the local theater industry to run the movie projectors at The Tech Theater in Ruston and later to manage Ruston's Drive In. In 1959 he was hired by Mr. William A. Marbury Jr. at Ruston State Bank which launched his career in banking. He graduated from the LSU School of Banking of the South and The National Commercial Lending Graduate School Program from The University of Oklahoma. During his fifty-five-year banking career, he worked for Ruston State Bank, Deposit Trust, the FDIC and Community Trust Bank which later became Origin Bank. Glen was awarded The Louisiana Bankers Association Service Award upon his retirement on April 5, 2014. Glen was always grateful to Mr. Marbury for giving him a chance.

In 1982, Glen married Mellie Jo Jefcoat Kelley who was the choir director at Ruston High School. They remained married until Mellie's death in 2023.

Glen was preceded in death by his wife Mellie Jo Jefcoat Neaville, sons Kelley Glen Neaville, Kip Lacy, Trey Lacy, parents John and Nellie Neaville, sister Vivian Luella Harris, nephew Ralph "Pete" Harris, daughter-in-law Susan Butler Neaville, and brother-in-law Don Bramlett.

He is survived by sons, Stephen Philip Neaville (Marilyn) and Johnathan Bruce Neaville (Jennifer); daughter, Mary Allison Kelley; daughter-in-law, Angela Lacy; brother-in-law, Bob Jefcoat (Dianne); sister-in-law, Mary Jon Bramlett; grandchildren: Grace Ann Neaville, Lacy Elizabeth Neaville, Philip Erroll Kelley Neaville, L.D. Lacy (Staci), Nicona Lacy (Taylor), Sarah Campbell (Antoine), Christian Campbell (Rebecca), Jamie Godbold (Carrie), David Godbold (Samantha), Kimberly Ludwig Littlefield (Lance), John Ludwig (Meghan), Christopher Ludwig (Rachel); nieces: Sharon Harris Deas, Shelia Harris Pugh, Ginger Harris Cowling, Marilyn Harris Heard, Helen Bramlett Dietrich (Dalton); and nephews: Cass Jefcoat (Casie) and Mitch Jefcoat (Megan).

Serving as Pallbearers are Erroll Neaville, Christian Campbell, Mitch Jefcoat, Cass Jefcoat, L. D. Lacy, Nicona Lacy, Antoine Benoit and Jay Glorioso.

Because Glen's favorite color was red, the family is suggesting that red be worn for the funeral service.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
