Glen
Bagwell
Apr 25, 1966 — May 30, 2022
Dubach
Funeral services for Glen Allen Bagwell, Sr., age 56 of Dubach, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 3, 2022 at Culbertson Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA with Rev. Scott Jennings officiating. Burial will follow in the Culbertson Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.
Glen was born April 25, 1966 to Florice "Happy" and Finnus "Buster" Bagwell. He passed away from complications from a stroke May 30, 2022 in his home surrounded by family. Glen was born and raised in northern Louisiana and loved everything it offered. He could have been a spokesperson for the true meaning of Louisiana, the sportsman's paradise. Glen was an outdoor man 100 percent. He loved to fish, hunt, and play in the mud with trucks and 4 wheelers. He was also a fan of the New Orleans Saints. He loved to sit around the fire and "shoot the breeze" with family and friends. Glen had many friends, and he loved to spend time with them all. He had a heart as big as he was, always there when needed. Glen was the true meaning of being a Bagwell – strong as any but also humble and kind. He would drop what he was doing to go to the rescue of anyone in need. Glen was a simple man with simple needs and enjoyed living his simple life. Glen was preceded in death by his sister, Kay Thompson.
Glen is survived by his son, Glen Allen Bagwell, Jr. and wife, Michelle; two granddaughters: Brylee (10) and Kayla (7); three brothers: Doug Bagwell and wife, Suzette, Tracy Bagwell, and Keith Bagwell and wife, Susan; sister, Janis and husband, Brett Cooper; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. He will be truly missed by many.
We wish to give a special thanks to the Ruston Regional Specialty Hospital staff for all of their dedicated work while Glen was under their care and also to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport as well as St. Jospeh's Hospice. We wish to also give a special thanks to Shannon Rhodes, who helped to take care of Glen and family after being sent home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Andy Sellers, Chucky Ovitt, Joey Brazzel, T.J. Johnston, Deany Herring, and Terry Heard.
Visitation will be held from 8:30 AM until service time Friday at Culbertson Baptist Church.
