It is with great sadness that the family of Frederick Brooks Shaver annouce his passing on August 4, 2021 at the age of 80. Brooks was born in Ruston, Louisiana on May 20, 1941 to parents, John Edward Shaver and Mary Sellis Brewer Shaver. Brooks is survived by his daughter, Lorinda Ray, and twin sons, Brooks and Bryant Shaver. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Sellis; brother, John Shaver; and grandson, Jeremy Wayne Mills. Brooks had eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The most important people to Brooks were his three children. He was a hard worker and enjoyed the outdoors, as well as football. Brooks will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

The family will have a private memorial at a later date.
