Ruston
Faye Womack Clark, 84, of Ruston passed away peacefully on April 29, 2019, following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Owens Memorial Chapel with Bro. Randy Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.
Mrs. Clark had a caring, protective spirit and used her talents by working as a nurse for many years. Later in her career, she cared for disabled college students by operating the Louisiana Tech University Biomedical Engineering dormitory. Mrs. Clark was able to travel to many different countries in her younger years, and experience many diverse cultures. This led to a host of tales that her children and grandchildren loved to hear. Her feisty personality was best shown during her favorite past time – playing the slot machines with her good friend, Diane. Mrs. Clark is preceded in death by her husband Bobby Clark; daughter Connie Hair; and parents S.A. (Ause) and Eunice Womack.
Those left to cherish her memory include son Lonnie Clark of Ruston; daughter Barbara Owen and husband Don of Jennings; daughter Ann Norris and husband John Lane of Dubach; and son Bobbie Clark and wife Lindsey of Pearland, TX. Grandchildren include Dusty Owen and wife Tasha; Jeremy Owen and wife Erica; Jared Owen and fiancé Kirsten LeJeune; Beth Oliver and husband Derek; Morgan Barmore; Bo Barmore; Rachael Spillers and husband Casey; Michael Gilmore; Hunter Norris; Jack Clark; Max Clark; and Bo Clark. Great-grandchildren include Stella Owen, Aida Owen, Maya Owen, Annabelle Owen, Dean Owen, Owen Oliver, Henry Oliver, Anna Kate Oliver, Jack Oliver, John Luke Oliver, Cassidy Barmore, Abagael Barmore, Brenden Barmore, Campbell Spillers, Gunner Spillers, Rouxa Norris, and Revel Norris. Sister-in-law Jan Canterbury and husband Keith and brothers-in-law Andy Clark and Dane Clark.
Serving as pallbearers will be her beloved grandsons: Dusty Owen, Jeremy Owen, Jared Owen, Derek Oliver, Bo Barmore, Casey Spillers, Michael Gilmore, and Hunter Norris. Honorary pallbearers are her "special little boys" Campbell Spillers and Gunner Spillers.
The family would like to extend their deepest heartfelt gratitude to Debby Coleman, Mary Thomas, and the staff of Ascend Hospice Care. Visitation will be 12:00 PM until service time Wednesday at Owens Memorial Chapel.
