Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Kluwe Roberts are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Owens Memorial Chapel with Reverend Chris Witt officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Eva was born in Berlin, Germany, on June 17, 1926, to Walter and Alma Kluwe. She passed away on August 3, 2018, in Ruston, LA, at the age of 92. She met her future husband, Johnny Roberts, during World War II while he was stationed at Tempelhof Air Base in Berlin. After their marriage in Berlin in 1948, Johnny brought his new bride to the United States. Eva proudly obtained her American citizenship in May of 1959. She was a longtime employee of the Post Office Cafe in Ruston. Many will remember the tiny dark haired German waitress from that Ruston landmark. Eva had a green thumb and loved growing beautiful flowers. She also had a special place in her heart for animals. Eva is predeceased by her parents, siblings and her husband.

Eva leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son, Raymond Roberts and wife Sherry of Ruston, granddaughter Christina Reeves, great grandchildren:  Kelsie Reeves, Kolby Reeves and Mary Kathryn Reeves and a host of other relatives and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be:  Kolby Reeves, Jeff Reeves, Gregg Tousignant, Robert Chisolm, Zach Chisolm and Shelton Chisolm.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, Wednesday before the service.
