Graveside services for Mr. Ray Cooper age 75, of Bernice, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 16, 2020, at Henry Cemetery in Hico, LA, with Bro. Don Cardin officiating. Services will be under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel of Ruston, LA.  Mr. Cooper passed away Monday, July 13,2020.

Ray was a member of Hico Baptist Church. He worked in the gas industry for 49 years, retiring from Energy Transfer in Dubach in 2013.  Ray enjoyed retirement on his farm spending time with his grandchildren and checking his cattle. He will be remembered as a hardworking man who would not hesitate to help his friends and neighbors.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Nancy Cooper; two brothers: Herschel and Ellis Cooper and three sisters: Gloria Jean Morrow, Betty Murphy and Judy Martin.

Ray is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sandra Cooper; two sons: Darren and wife Marcie and Doug and wife Tiffany; five grandchildren, whom he adored: Laney, Colton, Callie, Owen and Max; two sisters: Barbara Hanna and Nell Barmore and a host of nieces and nephews.
