Funeral services for Mr. Eddie C. Murray, Jr., age 73 of Lillie, LA will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston, LA with Rev. Michael Murray and Rev. Marvin Winham officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hamilton Cemetery in Dubach, LA under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Eddie was born December 27, 1947 in Transylvania, LA in East Carroll Parish and passed away December 5, 2021 in Lillie, LA.  He married the love of his life, Sheree Grant Murray on August 12, 1971.  He was a pipefitter and a member of Melbourne Baptist Church in Transylvania, LA.  Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Eddie Mae Murray; sister, Paulette Pearson; brother Tony, nephews: Randy Cox, Jr., Randy Murray and Tom Pearson, Jr. and niece, Leigh Salter.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Sheree Murray; sons: Trey (Pat) and Brandon (Kanya); grandson, Gavin; granddaughter, Yvniyv; three brothers: Milton (Wanda) of Joplin, MO, Jackie (Robbie) of Farmerville, LA and Timmy (Bobbie) of Gibsland, LA; four sisters: Clarice Sanders, Diann Larance, Dawn Story and Susie Cox all of Dubach, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be nephews, Doonie Sellers, Andy Sellers, Reed Jennings, Tracy Murray, Jackie Murray, Jr. and Nathan Sellers.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Wednesday at Owens Memorial Chapel.
