Funeral services for Frances Earlene Bailey, age 88 of Ruston will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at First Pentecostal Church with Rev. Frank Miller, Rev. Jonathan Strain and Rev. L.E. Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.
Sister Bailey was born on August 20, 1932 in Crowley, LA and passed away on March 21, 2021 in Ruston, LA. She was a pastor's wife for over 50 years before pastoring her own church for the last 20 years. Sister Bailey loved working in the church, singing, praying and reading the bible. She loved the church, loved her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sister Bailey was preceded in death by husband: Rev. I.L. Bailey; brother: Allen Earl Gilbert; sister: Irma Dean Mattox; brother-in-law: L.D. Maddox.
Sister Bailey is survived by daughter: Dottye McConnaughey of Ruston, LA; grandson: Michael Jason McConnaughey and wife Anna of Boyce, LA; granddaughter: Rachael and husband David Reynolds of Converse, LA; great grandchildren: Kylee and husband Tyler Rodriguez of Stonewall, LA, Michael Dylan McConnaughey of Stonewall, LA and Allie Michelle Ryals of Converse, LA; great great granddaughters: Kennedy and Rose and a great great grandson on the way; niece: Susan Mann; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, church members, family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Brazzel, Tyler Rodriguez, David Reynolds, Ronnie Warren, Frank Miller and Jonathan Strain. Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan McConnaughey, Justin Henry and Michael Henry.
