Funeral services for Dwayne Lee Westbrook, age 65 of Bernice, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Owens Memorial Chapel with Bro. Phillip Farris and Bro. Michael Brookover officiating. Burial will follow at Chatham City Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

Dwayne was born on July 20, 1960 to Nathan Leon Westbrook and Frances Aline Foster Westbrook and passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025 in Monroe, LA. Dwayne graduated from Farmerville High School and went on to complete trade school in mechanics, and found great joy in truck driving.  Dwayne spent 25 years employed with Russell's Glass in Bernice. Known throughout the community as a dependable handyman and friend, Dwayne was always willing to lend a helping hand. He especially enjoyed working on RV's, campers, vehicles, and various home projects where his mechanical skill and generosity touched many lives.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Erly Westbrook; father, Nathan Leon Westbrook; maternal grandparents, Calvin and Ola Foster; and paternal grandparents, Rev. V.L. and Lois Westbrook. He is survived by his loving mother, Frances Aline Westbrook of Bernice, LA; aunt, Louise Westbrook of West Monroe, LA; and cousins, Tammy Cox (David) of West Monroe, LA, and Janet Cook (Tom) of West Monroe, LA.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Lunsford, Kenny "Chucky" Kelly, Terry Kelly, Danny Nutt, Phillip Strahan, and Kenny Doss. Honorary pallbearers will be close friends Pepper Green and Bill Russell.

Dwayne will be remembered for his kind spirit, helpful nature, and the many ways he blessed his family, friends, and community.
