Those who knew Dorothy best would say she is rejoicing in heaven and happy to be with the love of her life, Elmer Pilgreen, her parents and her siblings. Dorothy was known to loved ones as Aunt Dot, Granny or Granny Goose. She was a caretaker. Dorothy took care of her siblings, her children, her nieces, and her grandchildren. She loved to share stories of her childhood, her marriage, and raising her kids. Aunt Dot was a very strong-willed person who spoke her mind and stood up for her loved ones. Dorothy lived in the home with her son, Clay Pilgreen, his wife Renee, and her two grandchildren Raegan and Ethan Pilgreen. She loved her family dearly. Granny taught her daughter in law how to love a strong minded Pilgreen man with grace. Dorothy taught her granddaughter Raegan a good work ethic and to chase her dreams. She taught her grandson Ethan how to be patient to become a good caretaker to his family. Dorothy taught her son, Clay, how to love his family, provide for his family and value his family. Her smile and laughter will be missed in a home she that help build.
The family is very grateful for Gail, Connie and Amber Skipper for loving Aunt Dot and taking care of her. She loved you all and enjoyed the talks, lunches, and trips she made with them.
