Grave side services for Mrs. Doris Abel, age 75, of Dubach, LA will be held 2:00 PM Monday, December 23, 2019 at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Paul Watts officiating under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Doris was born September 1, 1944 to Holland and Beatrice Hambrick in Itta Bena, MS. She died in Ruston, LA December 20, 2019. Doris loved her church family at Emmanuel Baptist Church and enjoyed her dog Pete.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Edwin Abel, son Joseph Holland Abel, and her parents; brother Julian Hambrick; sister Joyce Patterson.

Doris is survived by her children: Richard Edwin Abel Jr., Shannon Abel Ambrose and Michael Craig Abel; grandchildren: Harley Brianna Price, Dusty Abel, Ryan Abel and Jake Abel; Great grandchildren and nephews.
